Huck Toweling
Huck toweling is a narrow fabric about 15 inches wide with a finished selvage. This fabric has a distinctive construction and can only be woven on one side. Used mostly for toweling and other smaller projects, comes in white. Pearl Cotton (Coton Perlé) is usually used and/or Floss with a #18 to #24 Tapestry needle.
How to prepare your Huck Toweling
On a sewing machine zigzag the raw edges of the fabric before washing the fabric. Wash with like colours and then dry in a medium/hot clothes dryer. The fabric can shrink up to 15%. Iron lightly from the back side before you start to weave.
